A Goal Properly Set...

..is Halfway Reached." -Zig Ziglar
We're a few months into the new year and I'm wondering how your New Year's Resolutions or your 2018 goals are going. So far, I'm doing pretty well! Yesterday I heard a new take on goals that I wanted to share. If you find yourself resisting taking action toward something you want, you may have set an impressive goal instead of an achievable goal. An impressive goal is huge and often times created out of a desire to impress others. An achievable goal is something that will stretch us but is still within the realm of the possible. A huge goal is great but only if it's something YOU truly want. If you're finding that you're already resisting something you planned to accomplish this year, try dialing the goal down a bit. If our intention is to impress ourselves, then small successes are the quickest way to get to what we want. Just turn the impressive goal into a series of achievable goals. If our intention is to impress others, no amount of success will satisfy everyone and deep down we know that.
If you'd like a little help, here's an interesting take on goal setting.
Here is the question:
Who are you trying to impress with the goals you've set for this year?
