Being in Control of Your Finances...
October 9, 2017
is a Great Stress Reliever.
Over the past few weeks, we've been looking at some pre-holiday topics such as clearing the dining room/kitchen table and Christmas decorations. Hopefully you're feeling better about both of these areas.
This week's topic is how to pay for the holiday season. Now, since it's October, there is obviously not enough time to put money aside each month to cover your expenses. But, you can take a bit of time to look at your current finances and think about what amount you would like to budget for the season. The biggest expense is usually gifts, but you may also participate in holiday events (concerts, plays, parties) or entertaining. When you think about how much you would like to spend and keep track of it as you spend it, you won't get surprised in January by unexpectedly high credit card bills.
If you'd like an easy way to keep track of all those numbers, here are some worksheets from The Queen of Free. Print them out, keep them handy and as you move through the next few months, you'll feel much more in control of your spending. Good luck!!
Here is the question:
How much would you like to budget for the upcoming holiday season?
