Dedication or madness
January 8, 2011
Today it was about 24 degrees outside. That’s to be expected since it is the middle of winter. What I didn’t expect was to see a huge kite being flown at one of the local parks. Don’t get me wrong. I love winter. I love spending time outside in the winter hiking or skiing or skating. But flying a kite in 24 degree weather?! I admire the person holding the strings to that kite. They have an amazing amount of dedication to something (and an amazing amount of thermal underwear!)
It makes me rethink some of the lame reasons I use for not getting to things. It also reminds me of what a person can actually accomplish when they put their mind to it.
