Sometimes Not Doing Something...

February 21, 2019
If you need to get something done

Can be a Message from Your Subconscious.

So many people are of the mind of "Just do it!" "Procrastination is the thief of time." But procrastination can also serve an important purpose. It can be an indicator of something hidden. When we put something on our To-Do list that we continually avoid doing, there's got to be a reason why. What we tend to do is berate ourselves for not getting started. What we could do instead is to ask ourselves a few questions about why we are procrastinating: Is this a task I want to do or is it a should? Why do I think I need to do this project? What would make this project easy to start? I recently had a small project that had been lingering for months! Every time I walked past it I knew it was something I should do. The secret for me to finally get it done (which I did yesterday) was to simply schedule time for it on my calendar. It was that easy!

Here's the Question:

What is your procrastination trying to tell you about your project(s)?
