Two, four, six, eight, how do you appreciate?
Although we can be quick to notice the things that we don’t like in a relationship or that drive us crazy about someone, we should also remember to notice to great things people bring into our lives. We all have people in our lives that have made a positive difference, either in a personal or professional context.
This week I got a call from an organizing client about some progress she made in her home after our last appointment. It was great hearing from her and hearing that I had made a difference in her life and in her household.
Even when you have a thought of gratitude toward someone, how often do you take that extra step and let the person know? It could be a phone call, an email, or that rapidly disappearing art form of the written thank you note.
Whichever way you choose to, pass on your appreciation to people. It not only makes them feel great but it will make you feel good too!
