Where there is too Much...

Something is Missing." -Jewish proverb
As difficult as it may be to believe, the holidays are right around the corner. Is your house ready for welcoming friends and family and sharing meals? Does even the thought of getting things ready for company fill you with dread? Take heart! Over the several weeks, I'll be sharing ideas for how to reclaim your home from clutter and get ready for entertaining.
The first place we're going to focus on is the dining room/kitchen table. Maybe yours is in great shape or maybe you can't even see it under all the paper and various other items. If you start now, you'll be able to excavate it in plenty of time. Trust me, you'll be happy when you don't have to simply throw everything into bins and store them in the basement just to make room for the meal.
The first step is to set time aside in your schedule to start working on it. Even if it's just 15 minutes every other day, write it down on your calendar. Create the intention that this is a priority for you. It may take one session or it may take seven, but the key is to work on it consistently to make sure the space doesn't fill up as quickly as you clear it off.
Here's an article that can help with this project. There are some great ideas in the comments after the article too!
Here is the question:
How would your holiday experience change if your table was already clutter-free?
